Solitary Confinement If…?

Fact: Official Bureau of Prisons policy allows solitary confinement from three to twelve months, depending on the violation for the following:

  • “Insolence”
  • Masturbation
  • Simple Fighting
  • Adulteration of Food
  • Self-Tattooing
  • Circulating a Petition (regardless of content)
  • Failure to follow correction officer’s work instructions exactly
  • Improperly handling a cleaning product
  • Failing to stand for count
  • Being “untidy”
  • Using obscene language twice within six months
